Environment Quality Authority
The Environment Quality Authority (EQA) within the Palestinian Government is the entity in charge for environmental protection and conservation as well as the lead on climate change issues.
UNFCCC focal point
A National Committee for Climate Change (NCCC) chaired by EQA was established by the Cabinet Decree of 24 April 2010. It represents a first step towards a more concerted and integrated approach at the county level, also allowing for national stakeholders’ consultation. The NCCC is composed of twenty one member and five thematic working groups dealing with different climate change aspects/sectors.
The UNFCCC Focal Point, as well as IPCC Focal Point, is Mr Nedal Katbeh-Kader.
